Solar Panel Cleaning in South Florida and Alachua County
Solar Panel Cleaning: Before & After

Before (left) and after (right) solar panel cleaning.
Solar panels can only produce what the sun can reach. In Florida, salt mist, pollen, dust, lovebug splatter and bird droppings dry onto the glass, and rain rinses off only part of it. Pure Wave Exterior Cleaning cleans residential and commercial solar arrays across Miami-Dade, Broward, Palm Beach and Alachua counties using soft tools and low-pressure water, never a pressure washer, so the glass and your warranty are protected.
How We Clean Solar Panels
- Survey – We check the layout, the panel condition and the safest way to reach every row, and we confirm water access with you.
- Brush off the loose layer – Pollen, leaves, dust and droppings are removed first with soft brushes so nothing gritty is dragged across the glass.
- Wash and rinse – Each panel is washed with low-pressure water, then rinsed so spots and streaks do not dry on the glass.
- Review – We check the array in good light, clear the roof of any debris we removed and let you know about anything unusual.
Systems We Clean
- Residential rooftop arrays on tile, shingle and metal roofs
- Flat-roof arrays on condo buildings, offices and warehouses
- Ground-mounted arrays on larger lots and rural properties
- HOA and community-owned installations
Most Florida arrays do well with cleaning two to four times a year. Coastal panels build up salt film faster, and panels under trees collect pollen and leaf debris. We clean panels only and do not do electrical work or repairs.

How often should solar panels be cleaned in Florida?
Most Florida arrays do well with cleaning two to four times a year. Coastal panels build up salt film faster, and panels under trees collect pollen, sap and leaf debris.
Is it safe to pressure wash solar panels?
No. We use soft tools and low-pressure water and never pressure wash panels or use abrasives. Check your manufacturer's or installer's care guidance for any specific requirements.
Do you clean commercial solar arrays?
Yes. We clean flat-roof and ground-mounted arrays for HOAs, condo associations, offices and warehouses. See our commercial services for details.
How much does solar panel cleaning cost?
Price depends on the number of panels, roof pitch and height, access, and how dirty the array is. We give a free written quote before any work begins.
